Burning of the Books
Through out this book you can see that the government and the society in this dystopia are trying to complete erase these peoples minds from the past. Like in morgan's blog entry How Do They Know ? she says "How could these people in this novel be so unaware of the reality of their society? This question has yet to be answered in Fahrenheit 451. I have a feeling it has to do with the burning of the books. I'm thinking that they are trying to erase the peoples mind and past by burning all of these books." After reading that it made me think more about the actual burning of the books and how it relates to the government and how it is trying to make the society unaware of the reality. In the novel it says " I don't know. We have everything we need to be happy but we aren't happy, somethings missing. "(p.82) I think that the thing that is missing is that the people living in this dystopia don't know what the actually reality is of their world. Also that they haven't been able to read books because they all get burned so they can't read the past and what has truly been missing in their lives. That is what why I think these people are unhappy.

Thoughts of Fahrenheit 451#2
After using our own blogs for a little bit i find this easier to get my questions answered. Other groups have the same ideas and thoughts that i also have. Like the whole deal with Clarisse. She seems a lot different then all the other people who live in Dystopia. It seems like she asks questions that don't get asked normally because people don't usually think a lot about things like she does. I think that Clarisse is going to have an impact on Montag and make him think more about things and to think more about life. He noticed that his wife didn't remember that she swallowed all her pills. And i feel like that made him realize that she was too interested in modern day electronics and they make her not realize the outside world. I also feel like Montag is going to want to change that with his wife and he is going to be more like Clarisse as the book goes on.

Montag and Fire Fighting
One of the non-numbered questions is "How does he feel about his job?" When the question says "He", it is referring to Montag and how he feels about Fire Fighting. The job of a Fire Fighter is very demanding and they sacrifice basically their entire life in order to save other people. But after he met Clarisse McClellan I feel like he has mixed feelings about how he feels about his job.
When he met Clarisse she asked him plenty of questions about himself, including questions about his job. She made a comment saying "You know I'm not afraid of you at all." "So many people are. Afraid of firemen, I mean. Bu t you're just a man, after all ... " When Clarisse asked that I feel as if it in a way awoken Montag. He was proud of being a Fireman and he had no idea that people were afraid of him for that reasoning. Clarisse also asked, "Is is true that long ago firemen put fires out instead of going to start them?" Montag was kinda of surprised she asked this and responded with, "No. Houses have always been fireproof, take my word for it." After Montag said this I feel as if she responded in a snotty rude way when she said, "Strange. I heard once that a long time ago houses used to burn by accident and they needed firemen to stop the flames." I think that that statement was rude towards Montag and criticized his work. That is why I think that after Montag talked to Clarisse it didn't so much changed his mind but made him question what his job does and how he feels about it.

Internet Blogging
Some of the potential dangers of Internet blogging that was discussed in the links that we were given where, that both students and adults need to be conscious of what they put on the internet because the internet is open to all people, and in order for people to not get information about yourself you don't want them to know you shouldn't put personal information about yourself. Also everything you post on the internet should be school related, and not personal. The major thing about blogging on the internet is to make sure you are safe. No personal information AT ALL.

Thoughts of Fahrenheit 451
So far, in Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, I am a little bit confused. Who is this girl Clarisse McClellen that Guy Montag meets on the street. She confused me when she kept asking so many questions. I feel as if she was butting into Montag's life by asking these questions about firefighters. I have a feeling that Clarisse is going to be a main character in the book, and have a huge impact on the way Montag lives and acts. I feel like they will also become very close through out this book also.
I chose this book because when i read the excerpts 1984 didn't grab my attention like Fahrenheit 451 did. I don't know what I was interested in the book but i was.
